Assumption College Library

The Assumption College Library welcomes students every day of the week and is located at the heart of the school, in Courtyard 2. Students can visit the library before and after school, as well as at lunchtime, to study, read, borrow resources, or enjoy a variety of board games.

The library collection includes fiction, senior fiction, graphic novels and magazines, as well as a range of non-fiction titles to engage students' interests and assist with research.  Throughout the year, various activities are held at the library, including a Chess Club, Dungeons & Dragons sessions, and craft activities.  Our digital collections include e-books, audiobooks, and access to the State Library of Queensland database, as well as many other resources available through our Library Catalogue. The library also houses the school’s printers for student use.

Library staff are available to assist students with research and assignment writing skills, book recommendations, printing, and other services. The library catalogue, as well as the school’s online research portal, are available online, both at school and at home, using the Access-it library management software.
